Square Root Planimeters
measure the mean heights of curves recorded in proportion to the
exponent of a desired quantity, primarily on charts with quadratic or
other non linear divisions. They are most frequently used by Oil, Gas
and Utility Companies for evaluation of flowmeter charts to average
square root recordings of static and differential pressure.
Radial Planimeters are used to average temperature chart recordings for use in the flow equation. Other applications include determination of mean output of KW, averaging hydrological chart recordings, etc. This type of data is normally recorded on a linear chart, which has uniformly spaced divisions. Square Root and Radial Planimeters are available for evaluation of either circular or strip charts , and with electronic or mechanical measuring mechanism. |

MECHANICAL MODELS 1000V,1050V, 2000V, 3000V, 6000V and 8000V are equipped with a rugged dial-drum-vernier measuring mechanism . The cost of this instrument type is lower than that of electronic systems. Mechanical instruments are especially suitable for field use and for low volume chart evaluation. |

ELECTRONIC MODELS
1002, 1052, 2002, 3002, 6002
and 8002 provide fast and convenient operation with digital readout,
instant zero setting, automatic scaling and the potential for
interfacing with a computer for automatic computation of flow. |
