1281 Area / Line Meters

are available in three configurations : Model 1281-12 with 12 inch / 30.5 cm arms  Model 1281-18 with 18 inch / 45.5 cm arms Model 1281- 24 with 24 inch / 61 cm arms. Except for arm length and base size, all three models are virtually identical with a similar level of performance. The length of the arms determines the measuring range. The size of the drawing. blueprint, etc. to be evaluated as well as the size of the table on which the measurements are performed may determine which model to select.

Model 1281-12 This is the smallest unit and perfectly suited for jobs where conventional planimeters would normally be used. Yet it provides a far superior range, resolution and level of accuracy. Typical measuring ranges include :  17x24" / 43x61 cm  12x36" / 30x91 cm   8x40" / 20x101 cm Unlike conventional planimeters it can measure both areas, lengths and angles, has an item count facility and can be readily connected to a computer.  It is ideal for engineering offices for verification of dimensions, etc, it can be quickly moved wherever it is needed without taking up much space.

Model 1281-18 This Model is ideally suited for situations where table space is somewhat limited and where the 1281-24 would be too large. Yet its measuring range is sufficient for most applications. Typical ranges include:   24x42" / 61x106 cm   20x52" / 50x132 cm  26x36" / 66x91 cm   15x60" / 38x152 cm

Model 1281-24 Instruments with 24 inch arms have always been the most popular models. Range and level of performance is optimal for most applications. Typical measuring ranges include:   36x60" / 91x152 cm   42x48" / 106x122 cm   24x84" / 61x213 cm   12X96" / 30x243 cm
