Model 76B Linear Measuring Probe
Made in USA

The Lasico Linear Probe

works basically like a conventional map measuring wheel and is used to measure the lengths of straight or curved lines from maps, blueprints, diagrams, photographs, etc.
Unlike mechanical or some electronic map measuring wheels on the market, the 76B probe is a precision instrument with a significantly higher level of accuracy and resolution.

Applications include :

Measurements of road and river distances in cartography
Length take-offs in construction estimating
Line measurements in surveying, mapping, real estate appraisal.
Evaluation of photographic records in aerial survey, medical and biological research.
Determination of length parameters from curves and diagrams.

Model 76B must be operated in conjunction with an SM2, M, XM, M2 or XM2 processor and is most frequently purchased as an accessory item for Model 42P/C and 1252/1262 Planimeters , i.e. the planimeter processor can be shared with the probe.

All Lasico processors provide automatic scaling for results in any measuring unit and offer the possibility to interface with a host computer.
