The 1282W Models are equipped with a heavy base which eliminates the need to clamp them to the table.This configuration provides greater setup flexibility and better mobility within an office environment. Instruments can be moved more quickly to wherever they are needed. It also overcomes potential clamping problems on tables which are rigidly connected to a wall. 1282W models can be used on tables with tilt angles of up to 15 degrees. For steeper angle installations you can purchase an optional clamp kit ( # 1286-19) to secure the instrument to the table. The performance characteristics are virtually identical to those listed for the standard 1282 clamp models with equal arm length. 1282W Models are available in three configurations :

with 12 inch / 30.5 cm arms
Except for arm length and
the size of the base, all three models are virtually identical with a
similar level of performance. |
