Polar Planimeter Models |
Made in USA
Mechanical planimeters
are the most popular types. They are economical and offer good
overall accuracy and range for most applications involving medium
sized areas. |
Lasicos Model 10,20 and 30 are among the most precise and reliable instruments of this type with the features listed below:
All Lasico Planimeters are
supplied with a pole weight
rather than a needle pole, which easily mutilates a table surface and
cannot be used on desks with hard laminated tops. Furthermore, all
models are equipped with a vernier
magnifier and with a zero
set wheel. An adjustable
pole arm increases the effective
measuring range by some 20%. It is optional with models 10 and 20 and
standard with Model 30. |
Model 10
and 20 Planimeters While the Model L10 and N 10 is optimized for maximum accuracy, Model L20 and N 20 is configured for maximum measuring range. Models L20M and N 20M feature metric calibration .
Model 30 planimeters are equipped with adjustable pole and tracer arms which enables the user to optimize the instrument for both, maximum precision and measuring range.
Model 30 is available with
either a lens tracer
A tilt body design
and a parallax free tracer lens permit
convenient operation without the need to bend over the instrument
during tracing and readout. The L30 Model is also equipped with a
rotating cursor to compensate for uneven table surfaces. |
The tracer lens is flat to permit parallax and reflex free viewing from convenient seating positions. |
An attachable magnifier can be dropped into the cursor recess to enlarge the thickness of the lines being traced. |
Still available: Planimeters with tracer needle (N-Models) which may be more suitable for specific applications.
