THE N-KB (KEYBOARD) INTERFACE. Configured to work with IBM PC's and Compatibles as well as with Apple Macintosh Systems, the KB system emulates the keyboard code for work with programs that accept a numerical keyboard entry. This includes Spreadsheets, D-Base and Wordprocessor Programs, etc. It is independent of the operating system used. The need for a program driver is eliminated. The KB Interface does not interfere with normal computer operation.. The computer keyboard remains fully operational, regardless whether or not the measuring instrument is in use .
Any data transmitted to
the computer goes precisely
Optional and needed:
The N-RS232 (Serial) Interface
Interfacing via one of the
computer's serial ports is the most common method. However the
program in use needs to have a driver in order to communicate. Setup
is also more complex since parity, baud rate, stop bits etc. need to
be specified in many instances.
Optional and needed :
No. 1285-22 Serial Cable Kit .
The N-RT (Remote Terminal) Interface Although the data transmission uses the RS232 format, the operational characteristics have the advantages of the N-KB interface. A special program driver is not needed. Optional and needed : The Junction Box (1285-20) and the RT Cable (1285-21)
The N-PR (Printer) Interface.
Supplied complete with a
special printing calculator (# 1285 -14) and interface cable (# 1285-6D).
