Electronic Planimeter
 Models 42P and 42C

Made in USA

The Lasico Models 42P and 42C are equipped with a separate digital processor (Mod. SM2). This concept permits a light-weight instrument design, right or left hand operation and the capability to use the measuring mechanism for length measurements.

Some of the features include:

Automatic scale compensation.
Conversion into a map measuring wheel.
Serial output for computer interfacing.
Light weight design for unmatched smoothness and minimum operating fatigue.
Multiplier circuitry permits creation of special measuring constants.
Quick change of tracer arm length to optimize the instrument for either resolution or range.
Accumulative measuring capabilities.
Use of different horizontal and vertical scales.
12 digit counter, 8 digit display.
Clockwise and cc-wise operation.

Model 42P

Model 42C

A flat optical cursor eliminates parallax problems and permits viewing from a convenient seating position. No need to bend over the cursor for tracing.

A magnifier is provided to enlarge thin lines if necessary. It is simply dropped into the cursor recess.

For optimal accuracy and range, the tracer arm length can be quickly changed by plugging the pole arm into receptacles spaced at different arm lengths.

The close proximity of the instrument cursor and the measuring mechanism avoids wheel run off over the paper edges when measuring near the outer fringes of the drawing, blueprint, etc.

The Model 42 measuring
mechanism can be detached and converts into a length (map) measuring wheel within seconds.
A twist-on cylindrical handle is supplied with every Model 42P and 42C.

  • Model 42P is supplied with an adjustable pole arm and a pole weight integrated into its SM2 processor.

  •  Model 42C is identical to Model 42P but supplied with both a pole arm and a carriage for greater length range.
