Electronic Planimeter Models 44C and 45C.

The battery powered Placom Planimeters are ideally suited for use on locations, where an electric power supply is not readily available. ( in the field, in plan rooms, etc.) The Placom line consists of two different models: Model 44C with results expressed in either sq.inch or sq.cm Model 45C with automatic scale compensation for results in sq.in., sq.ft., acres, sq.cm., sq.m. and sq.km. For all Models : Built in rechargeable batteries for 30 hours of use. Battery recharge time: 14 hours. Instruments can also be operated directly from the power supply/recharger. Cumulative capabilities . 6 digit counting capacity to minimize the danger of potential counter overruns. 8 digit display with function indicators. Automatic averaging of 2 or more results.    For Models 45C only: Automatic scale compensation. The final measuring results can be expressed in any of the following unit values : sq.in., sq.ft., acres, sq.cm., sq.m. and sq.km. 	Control keys and display panel are incorporated into one compact housing, which also contains the measuring transducer and the rechargeable battery pack.

The Measuring Mechanisms of 44C and 45C Models are suspended by a wheel assembly for an extended length range. This principle also provides very smooth operation, since the weight of the measuring mechanisms is resting on the wheels.
